Connections

Connections become useful when you have multiple connected cubes on one or multiple sheet.

It give you the ability to be aware on all your cubes from a single view.

Overview​

Connection view

The view contain a top bar with a refresh button to refresh the view with the grids.

The center view and main element consist of the connections treeview. Here you can see every sheets and the connections made on it, you can also see the alias tables of the connected cubes.

Actions​

You can interact with the treeview in a few way.

  • By right-clicking on a sheet make you able to go to that sheet directly.
  • By right-clicking on a cube you have the option to refresh the cube or focus on the cube in the sheet.
  • By right-clicking on a label, you have the option to refresh the cube or focus on the cube in the sheet. You can also edit the label and assign it a type.
  • Left-clicking on a alias table will apply it to the cube.

From this view, you can also:

  • Modify labels.
  • Assign types to grids.

Labels are names you can assign to grids to make them easier to find in the tree structure.

Types​

Types are categories you can assign to grids. This allows you to refresh all grids linked to a specific type with a single action.

You can add new types from this view. However, editing and deleting types are only available in the dedicated section, accessible via the Settings -> Types view.
