Member Selection

The member selection view is used to create a grid with the members of your choice by inserting them horizontally or vertically as you prefer.

Overview

The view is composed of a selector at the very top to choose which dimensions you want to access, the dimensions available are fully dependant of the active cube. However, there will always be an "ALL_DIMENSIONS" option that can be selected to display all the dimensions and their members

below it, you have a search and filter module, typing anything in the search bar will highlight matching strings in the relevant members, you can use the arrow at the right to quickly browse it.

The following filters are also available to narrow your search:

  • None: no filter applied.
  • CHILDREN: only show the direct children of the dimension.
  • DESCENDANT TOP: show all descendant in the order they appears.
  • DESCENDANT BOT: show all descendant in the reversed order they appears.
  • LEVEL: show the elements at the specified level from the last one.
  • GENERATION: show the elements from the specified generation from the first one.

On below you will see all the elements, that match the filter and search you may have set (or the tree of the selected dimension otherwise).

The resulting tree of element can be selected with the checkbox on the left of each of them, once selected, you can insert them.

The last element is a small button and selector on the right, it's the insertion tool, which is used to insert the selected members, either vertically and horizontally depending on what the selector is set on.
